With the Spotify mobile app, you are able to get Spotify music on Chromecast devices using Spotify Connect. Make sure your Chromecast Audio and device using Spotify are on the same Wi-Fi network. Fire up the Spotify app on your phone or tablet. Choose to play a song on Spotify and select Devices Available. It seemed like just a month or two ago I could cast from Spotify on iOS 11 on my new iphone 8 plus, and now it's not even an option. I can play connect via my xbox but the sound is just not the same as it is for chromecast for some reason. Spotify Kids for iPhone does not seem to have support for Google Chromecast, meaning the kid’s cannot cast their music to the stereo, but I can using the standard app. Is this expected, and if so, any plans to add cast support to Spotify Kids for iPhone?

You can have different settings for listening online (streaming quality) or offline (download quality).
Higher streaming quality uses more data, and higher download quality uses more space.

Podcast quality
Podcast quality is equivalent to approximately 96kbit/s on all devices except the web player where it’s 128kbit/s.

On mobile/tablet, if you change the music quality to low, the podcast quality will also lower to approximately 24kbit/s.
